The beauty of social media is the ability to share things across the sea. TikTok especially has helped people in the U.S. discover innovative skin-care trends and brands from other countries. Recently, Spate released data on the skin-care brands with the biggest growth in popularity year-over-year, and most of the top 10 consisted of a handful of brands from Korea, Japan and China.
Spate compiles data from Google, TikTok and Instagram to create an overall Popularity Index score. These brands had the biggest jump in popularity year-over-year across platforms. In addition to the top four brands below, the top 10 is rounded out by Jiyu, Cleardea, Cosyuree, Sadoer, Lepique and P.CALM.

Lion Corporation tops the list with a popularity index of 2.2M, putting it leaps and bounds ahead of the others. This Japanese corporation has brands offering products across dental, body and skin care. Their acne products, which are available at Target, are the main attraction for U.S. consumers.
