If you somehow missed it on your feed, Kim debuted a freshly chopped dark pixie cut last week that could’ve been mistaken for her mom’s signature style. Then, just a few days later, Kris went full blonde bombshell, showing off a dramatic new look that left fans (including the NewBeauty staff) doing a double-take. It’s not the first time the Kardashian-Jenner duo has surprised us with a beauty swap, but this one feels especially on the nose. Both looks highlight just how much their features mirror each other, which is something fans have pointed out for years. And while Kim’s no stranger to switching up her hair color, Kris tends to stick to her signature dark hue, making her new blonde era all the more unexpected.
And the sheer surprise factor hasn’t gone unnoticed by followers, either. Countless fans flooded their respective posts with comments—on Kim’s, notes like “OMG Kris Jenner?!” and on Kris’s, what we’re all thinking: “Kris and Kim out here playing Freaky Friday.”
Both transformations were the work of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who’s been a longtime member of the family’s glam squad. He showed off Kim’s new cut last week, dubbing her piecey, textured style the “Paris pixie.” A few days later, he revealed Kris’s transformation too, taking her from deep brunette to platinum blonde and shaping her into a chic bob with side-swept bangs. Appleton captioned the photo simply: “I’ll have what @krisjenner is having.” I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t have what she’s having, too.
